YES! Best Shot Film Festival does not claim exclusive ownership over any entries.
YES! We just want your best filmmaking efforts.
Every entrant receives notification confirming receipt of their entry.
YES! As long as you were under 18-years-old at the time the film was made, you are eligible for that category.
YES! As long as you satisfy the category at the time the film was made, you are eligible for that category.
ANY! It’s all about what is the best film – regardless of how it’s made.
YES! You will need to have all necessary permissions for anything/anyone appearing in your film, as it will be publicly screened. For more information, check the Ts & Cs!
Best Shot Film Festival aims to support quality films and filmmakers that have not found success at other festivals. We have a unique approach to showcasing and appraising, and are passionate about providing a platform for the best films that are yet to be awarded.
YES! We also aim not to punish success! As long as your film has not received a “Best Film/Best Director” award upon entering, your film will not be disadvantaged in any way!

Entrants are more than welcome to withdraw their entry, however, withdrawal of the entry will result in forfeiting of the entry fee.
Entry fees are used to continue the running of Best Shot Film Festival and the continued showcasing and celebration of filmmakers’ best filmmaking efforts.
All Best Shot Film Festival finalists are notified by email.
All Best Shot Film Festival finalists are eligible to win a Best Shot Film Festival prize.
Prizes will be sent directly to the winners; communication regarding this will take place shortly after the conclusion of the Best Shot Film Festival.
The films remain the property of the Filmmakers, however, as a condition of entry, entrants grant Best Shot Film Festival permission to use part/whole segments of the films for use in marketing/promotion of Best Shot Film Festival in perpetuity.

All Best Shot Film Festival finalists will receive both the Judging Panel’s scores, as well as personalised written feedback from the Judging Panel.
No - while the top 3 films of each section will be published, finalists will only see their own individual scores and their own individual feedback.
The decision of the Judging Panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

All Best Shot Film Festival finalists will have their films screened on the Festival night and will receive invitations to attend.
The Best Shot Film Festival screening will be live-streamed, and access to this live stream will be advertised and available to everyone!
YES! Anyone can attend the Best Shot Film Festival screening and details of the time and place will be posted on our website and our socials.
